Jamie Dimon
KEY THREATS:
JP Morgan Chase is the United States’ biggest bank, making CEO Jamie Dimon one of the world’s biggest bankers. Which makes the devastation caused by investments in things like fossil fuel companies and lobbying against basic consumer protections for the poorest all the more impactful.
Unlike some of the more outwardly outrageous oligarchs, Dimon’s views are fairly standard billionaire: token criticisms of Trump more than canceled out by joining his “CEO Advisory Committee” in 2016 and praising him, opposition to regulation of Wall Street bank liquidity requirements, which he said are too high, and increasingly frequent forays into Zohran Mamdani-derangement syndrome. The AI-bubble funder has also been aiding Trump ex-BFF Elon Musk’s SpaceX IPO scheme, which will rewrite Wall Street rules to make index funds invest in SpaceX (meaning millions of 401ks and retirement accounts will automatically invest in the stock and make Musk a trillionaire. With this much money to move around, you don’t have to be interesting to make the world a dramatically worse place. Or to spend 15 years as Jeffrey Epstein’s bank of choice.

Controversies
- JP Morgan Chase reached a $290 million settlement with Jeffrey Epstein survivors who accused the bank of turning a blind eye to his abuse. Epstein was the bank’s client for 15 years, with his accounts making Chase hundreds of millions in revenue.
- While historically funding Democrats and once calling himself “barely a Democrat” Dimon told a crowd in 2025: “I have a lot of friends who are Democrats, and they’re idiots.”
- Recently made headlines attacking New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, calling popular policies like rent freezes and city-run grocery stores “ideological mush that means nothing in the real world.”
- Called Elon Musk “the Edison of our time” while hosting a roadshow promoting SpaceX’s IPO, which will rewrite stock exchange rules so that index funds will be forced to invest in Musk’s stock, and make him a trillionaire in the process.
- JPMorgan Chase recently came under fire for receiving $77 million in public subsidies to build a datacenter in the town of Orangeburg, New York that has created a total of one permanent job.
Enabling
Mass Exploitation
From funding the corporate titans crushing the working class, to lobbying against the regulations that could protect them, Jamie Dimon made $770 million in compensation in 2025 alone while using the country’s largest bank to increase the power of the rich. Whether it’s criticizing President Biden’s 2022 student debt cancellation or defending bank overdraft fee policies that disproportionately impact low-income customers, this billionaire won’t let anything stand in the way of his billionaire buddies’ ability to squeeze even more from you.
Trump Administration
Though he has publicly disagreed with Donald Trump, Dimon became a member of Trump’s CEO advisory committee during his first presidency, where he pushed to roll back some banking regulations in the Dodd-Frank Act, which instituted bank liquidity requirements after the 2008 financial crisis.
During Trump’s 2024 campaign, Dimon used his platform to praise Trump, saying: “Just take a step back and be honest: He was kind of right about NATO. He was kind of right about immigration. He grew the economy quite well. Tax reform worked.”
